So I haven’t gotten full confirmation yet as to what the interaction with these energy nodes, power plants and colony control are supposed to be for civilian members. Do you recall if there is an error that gets thrown back? Something like Access Denied because your a civilian. If so I haven’t found the system message yet to send that back to client. I will leave this open for now until I get more clarity on this. Thanks
No error from what I’ve observed. I’ll try and test some more and report back.
@quasarentry I found this while looking at the patch notes, it might be helpful to narrow down how this should work for civilians:
Patch 1.5.8.2
Implementation of the Civilian Faction:
- All weapons except for the Zanathid Inflex 5, Ryx 7 Streamline, Armalite Survival, HR420, Chrono, Dominator, Mining Tools, and Mediguns are illegal and yield 2,500 PP when scanned.
- Hacking Interface tools are illegal for civilians and yield 2,500 PP.
- Civilians may not influence military activity.|
Reading this makes me think they could hack normally. If military activity is tied to the actual succesfull hack and not on the node being hacked when military activity is calculated, then I guess this means they just don’t generate any MA on a hack (but also that they could make a hack uncounterable by unhacking to reduce MA)
Not sure how it works for doors though.
